General Terms and Conditions of Gate

This agreement has been prepared in addition to the Gate Confidentiality Agreement dated February 7, 2022, the Gate Community Rules and Terms of Use. In any dilemma that may arise between these two contracts, the articles in this contract will prevail.

Community Guidelines

Short Version

We want Gate to remain a unique and safe place where people can be inspired and express themselves. Help us make this community even better. Only upload your own photos and videos and always obey the law. Respect everyone at the Gate. Do not spam people or post nudity content.

Long Version

Gate; It is a reflection of our rich community, whose cultures, age ranges and beliefs are extremely diverse. We have thought through the different perspectives that will create a safe and open environment for everyone.

We’ve created the Community Guidelines so you can help us improve and protect this great community. Your use of Gate means that you accept these rules and our Terms of Use. We adhere to these guidelines and hope you feel the same way. If you break these rules, your content may be deleted, your account may be closed, or you may face other restrictions.

In some cases, we allow content that would normally go against our Community Guidelines but that is newsworthy and posted in the public interest for public awareness purposes. We do this only after we compare the public interest value of the content with the risk of harm, and we refer to international standards for human rights when making these decisions.

Only share photos and videos that you have taken or have the right to share.

As always, you own the content you post on Gate. Always share original content. Do not share anything that you do not have the right to share, copied from the internet or collected.

Share photos and videos that will be appropriate for a wide audience.

We understand that from time to time people may want to post art or creative images that contain nudity, but we don’t allow nudity on Gate for a number of reasons. These include photos, videos, and some digitally generated content showing sexual intercourse, genitals, or fully exposed buttocks. Although some photos of women’s nipples are included in this coverage, we do allow photos of women breastfeeding their child. We do not see any harm in nudity in paintings and sculptures.

People love to share photos and videos of their kids. For security reasons, we may remove images of children that contain nudity or partial nudity. While this content is shared in good faith, it may be used by other people in unexpected ways.

Develop meaningful and authentic interactions.

Help us stay a spam-free community by not artificially collecting likes, followers or shares, reposting the same comment or content, and not contacting people for commercial purposes without their consent. Do not offer money or raffles in exchange for likes, followers, comments, or other interactions. Do not post content that engages in, promotes, encourages, facilitates, or accepts the offer, encouragement, or trade of false or misleading user reviews or ratings.

You do not need to use your real name at Gate, but Gate users are required to provide us with real and up-to-date information. Do not impersonate others and do not create accounts for the purpose of violating our rules or misleading others.

Gate; It is not a place where terrorism, organized crime or hate groups can be supported or praised. Offering sexual services, trading of firearms, alcohol and tobacco products between private individuals, and the sale of illegal or prescription drugs (even if legal in your area) are also not permitted. Gate also prohibits the sale of livestock among private individuals, but physical stores may sell livestock. No one can coordinate the illegal hunting or sale of endangered animals or their parts.

Always obey the law when offering to sell or buy other regulated products. Accounts promoting online games of chance, real money games of skill or lotteries must obtain our written permission before using any of our products.

We operate with a zero-tolerance policy regarding the sharing of sexual content involving minors and the threat of sharing private images of others.

Respect other members of the Gate community.

We want our community to be positive and rich in diversity. We remove content that contains believable threats or hate speech, content that targets specific individuals for the purpose of humiliating or humiliating, personal information intended to blackmail or harass someone, and repeated spam messages. We often allow more talk about people who are in the news or have a large public audience because of their profession or activities they choose to do.

We never tolerate the incitement of violence or assault on people because of their race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, disability or illness. We may allow hate speech to be shared to oppose or raise awareness. In these cases, we ask that you express your intention clearly.

We do not allow serious threats to public and personal security. These include threats of direct physical harm and other threats to theft, vandalism and property damage. We carefully review threat complaints and take many things into account when determining whether a threat is credible.

Maintain our supportive environment by not making self-harm look like something to be glorified.

Members of the Gate community value each other.

Encouraging or forcing people to adopt self-harm goes against this supportive environment. When such content is reported, we remove or close these accounts. We may also remove content that targets individuals who have died or survived self-harm for offensive or humorous purposes.

Be thoughtful when sharing newsworthy events.

We realize that many people use Gate to share important and newsworthy events. Some of these may contain images that contain violence. Because so many people from so many different age groups use Gate, we may remove videos of intense violence to keep Gate a place for everyone.

We are aware that people often post such content to denounce events, raise awareness or raise awareness of others. If you’re sharing content for these purposes, we recommend adding a description to your photo that the images are violent. We never allow violent images to be shared for sadistic purposes or to glorify violence.

Help keep the community strong:

Each of us is an important part of the Gate community. If you see something that you think might be against our guidelines, please help us by using the report option in the app. We have a team around the world that reviews these complaints and removes content that violates our guidelines as quickly as possible. Even if you or someone you know does not have a Gate account, you can file a complaint. When making a complaint, try to provide as much information as possible about the content, such as links, usernames, and descriptions so that we can find and review the content quickly. We may remove posts entirely if the images or descriptions they contain violate our guidelines.

You may come across content that you don’t like but that doesn’t violate the Community Standards. In such a case, you can unfollow or block the person who shared the post. If you don’t like a comment on one of your posts, you can delete that comment.

Many disagreements and misunderstandings can be resolved directly between members of the community. If a photo or video of yours is shared by someone else, you can ask the person to remove the content by commenting on the post. If that doesn’t work, you can file a copyright complaint. If you think someone is infringing on your trademark right, you can file a trademark complaint. Don’t target the person by posting screenshots and pointing out the situation. Such behavior can be considered harassment.

We may work with law enforcement where we believe there is a possibility of serious physical harm or a threat to public safety.

Data Retention and Availability

We retain different types of information over different time periods. Given the volume of real-time content on Gate, some information may only be retained for a short time. We do not keep data for the purpose of providing law enforcement unless we receive a legally valid protection request.

Urgent Requests

Law enforcement officials can send a request by sending an e-mail to info@knockthegate.com in a situation that requires disclosure of information without delay regarding the possibility of harm to a child or the risk of death or serious physical injury to any person.

Important note: We will not reply to messages sent to this e-mail address by non-law enforcement officials. Users who encounter an emergency should contact local law enforcement immediately and directly.

Reporting private information shared on Gate

If someone has shared your private information on Gate, we recommend that you contact them directly to have it removed. Alternatively, if someone asks you to remove their private information, we ask that you respect that person’s privacy and remove the relevant content before your account is reported to Gate.

Data Policy

What kind of information do we collect?

In order to offer Gate Products to you, we need to process data about you.

The things you and others do and the information you provide.

The information and content you provide. We collect the content, messages and other information you provide as you use our Products, including when you register for an account, create or share content, and message or communicate with others. How can I manage or delete information about me?

We give you the ability to access, correct, move and delete your data. A situation-specific decision is made for each data, taking into account factors such as the nature of the data, the reason for its collection and processing, and the relevant legal or administrative retention requirements. If you submit a copy of your government-issued ID to verify your account, we will delete that copy 30 days after we review it, unless otherwise noted. Information that others share about you is not part of your account and is therefore not deleted.

How do we meet legal claims or prevent damage?

You are not required to reveal your identity on Gate, but you must provide us with accurate and up-to-date information (including registration information). You may also not impersonate another person or create an account for someone for whom you do not have express permission.

You may not do anything illegal, misleading or fraudulent, or take any action for illegal or unauthorized purposes.

You may not do anything to interfere with or adversely affect the desired operation of the Service.

You may not attempt to create accounts, access or collect information in unauthorized ways. This includes automatically creating accounts or collecting information without our express consent.

We do not claim to be the owner of the content you post on or through the Service. Instead, you share, post or upload intellectual property rights content (such as photos or videos) on or in connection with the Service; You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable and international license (in accordance with your privacy and practice settings) to host, use, distribute, modify, perform, copy, publicly display or display, translate, and create derivative works of your content. You agree that we may download and install service updates on your device.

You agree that we may share the posts you see, the profiles you view with the owner of the content you view.

Additional Rights We Reserve

If you choose a username or similar identifier for your account, we may change it as we deem appropriate or necessary (e.g. if it infringes on someone else’s intellectual property rights or impersonates another user).

When you use content covered by intellectual property rights we own and make it accessible on our Service (for example, images, designs, videos, or sounds we provide to add to content you create or share), we retain all rights to the content we own, and you are not entitled to any such content.

To modify, derive, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract source code from us, you must first obtain written permission from us or under an open source license.

Removing Content or Disabling or Closing Your Account

We may remove content or information you post on the Service where we believe it violates these Terms of Use or our policies, or as permitted or required by law. Content you delete may be stored in backup copies for a limited time and will still appear where others have shared it. This agreement does not grant any rights to any third party.

You may not transfer your rights or obligations under this contract to others without our consent.

We can transfer our rights and obligations to others. For example, this may happen when the owner of our company changes (merger, company sale or sale of assets) or as required by law.

Persons Responsible When Something Occurs.

Our service is provided “as is”. We cannot guarantee that our service will always be safe, secure or flawless. TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THERE ARE NO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, WARRANTIES OF LOSS, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, INCLUDING ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES.

We also do not control what people and others do or say, and we are not responsible for your actions or behavior (online or offline) or for any content you post (including illegal or offensive content). In addition, we cannot be held responsible for services and features offered by other individuals or companies, even if you access them through our Service.

Our liability (also called “liability”) for anything that happens on the Service is limited to the minimum allowed by law. If any problem occurs with our service, we will not be able to know all the implications this problem may have. You agree that we shall not be liable (“liable”) for any loss of profits, revenue, information or data, or consequential, special, indirect, exemplary, punitive or incidental damages arising out of or relating to these Terms, even if we know it is probable. This includes when we delete content, information or your account.

Unsolicited Information and Content.

Your feedback and other suggestions are always very important to us, but you agree that we can use them without limitation and that we are not obliged to pay you a price or to keep your views confidential if we use them.

Updating These Terms

We may change our service and policies. We may also need to amend these Terms to accurately reflect our Service and policies. Unless otherwise required by law, we will notify you (eg, through our Service) before making changes to these Terms and give you the opportunity to review them before they become effective. If you continue to use the Service thereafter, you will be subject to the updated Terms. If you do not wish to accept these or the updated Terms, you may delete your account.

  • It is important for us that you are aware of the fact that there is no method that makes the shares made over Internet servers 100% secure as much as the security of your personal data. Therefore, we take all reasonable measures to protect your personal data, but we cannot guarantee your absolute data security.
  • While receiving complaints in the Chat section, we also store the messages. If necessary, the status of the complained person’s account can be determined by examining these messages.
  • As Gate, we care about you and your relatives. You can send your complaints to the relevant section on our website or to info@knockthegate.com via e-mail with the report button.
  • If the complained person does not comply with the rules of the account, sharing, comment and message Gate, or without any reason, it can be removed by our teams who deal with this issue. When the user experiences this situation by using Gate, he accepts situations such as blocking his account, deleting his post and comment.
  • If you think that an account at Gate is an impersonation of you or someone else, you can send it to us via the relevant section on our website or to info@joingate.app.
